PO Box 827 - York, Pennsylvania 17405
A yearly one-day festival of 5th and 6th grade choral students invited from every school district in York County. Students are selected by and register through their school music teacher, church music director, or private instructor.
Teachers and student participants receive five pieces of music selected by the guest conductor approximately three months before the festival. Teachers practice and prepare the students for the festival and the day is spent perfecting the pieces and enjoying the company of other top-level singers from all over York County.
Junior Honors Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Donna Knott, eats lunch and sings with the young students to share their love of music together. The day ends with a concert for family and friends that has been praised as outstanding and exceptional, including a demonstration by the Junior Honors Choir on the male changing voice.
York County Honors Choirs is proud to sponsor this opportunity for teachers and students to meet together to share music education, creativity and a sense of community.
