ABOUT OUR ELEMENTARY CHOIR
We are excited to provide, prepare and present the 2nd year of the Elementary Choir (EC). The EC is for singers in grades 5 and 6, representing schools and communities across York County.
The EC aims to bring together 5th and 6th grade students for vocal education and performance. The goal is to foster student interest in music and performance, and introduce them to higher level opportunities within the YCHC.
The EC’s inaugural year was 2023-2024, under the direction of Michal Buchanan.
Information about the Elementary Choir will be available in Spring 2026!
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Michal Buchanan, Elementary Honors Choir director, has taught general music, provided private piano lessons, and directed public school and church choirs for more than 35 years.
