February 23

Dear Senior Honors Choir,

I hope you all were able to get some rest during our week off. We have a lot of work to do in the remaining two rehearsals that we have (yes, only two more rehearsals!). Remember that you are welcome to bring any guests that might be interested in joining next year to this Sunday’s rehearsal; please let me know if you are bringing someone so we can prepare accordingly. Below you will find important information about our upcoming Spring performances and next week’s rehearsal, please read them carefully.

March 3rd
As we have discussed throughout our rehearsal process, almost a third of the choir will be missing from next week’s rehearsal due to school musical obligations. I do not want to cancel this rehearsal because I believe we can still have a productive time reviewing parts and continue to memorize our pieces. That being said, we will have a shortened rehearsal from 1:30-3:30pm.

April 7th
Our performance is at 3:00pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The call time will be confirmed soon.

April 14th
We will be at Messiah University and work with Dr. Joy Meade, some of her students, and we will perform in their recital hall. The concert is open and free to the public, so feel free to share the date and time with your friends and family. The schedule for that day is the following:

  • Students Arrival - 1:50pm

  • Welcome and Workshop with Dr. Meade - 2:00-2:50pm

  • Short Break - 2:50-3:00pm

  • Session with Messiah Students - 3:00-3:40pm

  • Snack Break - 3:40-4:10pm

  • Concert - 4:15-5:00pm

May 4th
The performance for this date is scheduled for a 7:30pm performance with a 5:30pm call time at the recital hall in York College.

I will see you all on Sunday!

Sincerely,
Carlos Casilla
